Master Plan Town Meeting Calendar Links

"Concerned Carver Citizens" was founded by ordinary tax paying citizens who are concerned about the path and ethics of officials who are leading the town. This web site is a watchdog of all the elected and appointed Carver officials. Our mission is to observe that  town government follow all the State Laws exclusive of any financial interest and report violators to the proper authority .  We want to put violators on report that there is an "Eye in the Sky" scrutinizing their every move.  Please check back frequently for updates and feel free to send us your feedback.

$113,000 Tax Savings!

The elderly lady who lives at 74 Rochester Road has two Community Organizers to thank for getting her home back and our Town has Dawn Padovani and Bobbi Frugoli to thank for $113,000 in back tax revenue. Padovani and Frugoli engineered this win win situation when they became aware that one of their neighbors home had been taken by the Town for back taxes.

Frugoli and Padovani intervened and prevented further action by the town meeting on the transfer of the property to the Redevelopment Authority. As a result of the political pressure town official began negotiations with family members that resulted in an agreement to pay back taxes and interest on the property. Selectmen voted unanimously to reverse the tax title transfer Tuesday night.

Everyone who participated in these negotiations is to be commended for protecting the interest of the taxpayer and insuring that an elderly citizen was not thrown out in the cold. These efforts produced a result that proves the value of listening to citizen input and taking reasonable action to resolve a problem. Good things happen when government respects the input of its citizens.
